Posting Introduction
This study is closely related to the demographics of today's Anatolia. The main source of study are Ottoman tax registers between the years 1453 to 1650 covering Anatolia. This study identified tribal geography and communities of Anatolian part of the Ottoman Empire. The study, that took about 20 years to complete, examined more than 250 existing Ottoman tax books.
