Foreword

Apparently, the Tatar language preserved the features of the Ogur language of the Bulgars, which may included as its substrates the As and Hun languages, and as substrate or symbiosis the Bulgar, Savir, Esgil, and other component languages of the ancient Bulgar subdivisions. An example of the Ogur lexicon is shown in the following table.
